Story
Tomado was founded in 1923 and stands for "Togt Massa Artikelen Dordrecht" (Togt Massa Articles Dordrecht). Tomado commissioned the design for Expo 58 (1958) in Brussels, the first World's Fair after World War II. The colorful shelves by AD Dekker, reminiscent of the primary colors of Gerrit Rietveld's Red & Blue Chair (1917), are height-adjustable on the unit's black lacquered metal frames. Each shelf bears Tomado's mark.
