Story
Peill & Putzler had five glass furnaces in the 1950s, with two more added in the 1970s. At its peak, the glassworks was the largest employer in the city of Düren, employing up to 1,500 workers.
Wilhelm Wagenfeld , whom we all know (1900–1990), designed lighting ranges for Peill & Putzler from 1952 to 1958. Other designers who worked for the company included Wilhelm Braun-Feldweg and Helmut Demary . Peill & Putzler was also one of the founding members of the German Design Council in 1953.
