Story
A masterpiece of Danish design:
The modular shelving system "Royal System" by Poul Cadovius embodies the essence of the Mid-Century era.
Designed in the late 1940s, Cadovius revolutionized the idea of living with this system. Instead of furniture dominating the room, he created a concept that brings walls to life – airy, flexible and elegant all at once.
This teak version with its elegant corner solution is one of the rarest and most sought-after variants of the system. The delicate metal supports and warm wood tones create a harmonious and timeless whole.
The details are particularly ingenious: a slanted shelf for books or magazines, a generous writing surface that creates a compact workspace, and a lockable cabinet that combines functionality and style.
The modular design allows for countless configurations and adapts effortlessly to different spaces and needs – a prime example of Scandinavian design philosophy, where aesthetics and function go hand in hand – and all in exceptionally good condition.
