Story
The Swedish furniture and lighting manufacturer Luxus was founded around 1950 by Uno Kristiansson in the town of Vittsjö. Uno's brother Östen, who from 1966 onwards managed and renamed Vittsjö Möbelfabrik AB, his father's production company, soon merged the two companies under the name "Luxus".
Most of Luxus's products were designed in-house by Uno and Östen. Like many of their Scandinavian contemporaries, the Kristiansson brothers favored teak, but they weren't afraid to use glass, leather, plastic, and acrylic. Vintage Luxus items are highly sought after by collectors today.
