Story
In the 1960s, an era of new beginnings and creative innovation, Swedish designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson designed a lamp that was intended to be far more than just a light source. The T325/450 model was initially produced in a small workshop in Markaryd, Sweden, where Jakobsson perfected his feel for materials and atmosphere.
Jakobsson was known for exploring the interplay of light and material, and for this lamp he used brushed aluminum to diffuse the light gently and without glare. The stepped construction, almost like the rings of a planet, captures the light from the bulb and reflects it back into the room in soft, warm reflections. It was a design choice that was not only functional but also evoked emotions—a gentle elegance that remains timeless to this day.
